Working in Accounts for 3–5 Years but Salary Still Not Growing? Read This.

This one deliberately moves beyond your usual student audience. It can attract working accountants, which creates leads for AMCC and your specialized courses rather than PBA alone.

Many people start their career as an Accounts Executive and, after three or four years, discover a frustrating problem.

Their experience is increasing.

But their salary isn’t increasing at the same speed.

Why?

Sometimes the problem is not experience.

It is what you can independently handle after gaining that experience.

If your work still consists mainly of accounting entries, voucher posting, basic reconciliation and routine compliance, simply completing another year may not dramatically change your market value.

Career growth usually requires moving from:

Doing → Understanding → Reviewing → Managing.

An Accounting & Finance Professional who can independently handle GST returns, Income Tax, TDS, Balance Sheet finalisation, MIS reporting, Advanced Excel, reconciliations and financial analysis brings a different level of value to an organisation.

And that can open the door to higher responsibilities.

This is exactly where upskilling becomes important.

ITAP’s Account Manager Certificate Course (AMCC) is designed for graduates, working professionals and career upgraders. Its practical syllabus includes GST and Income Tax filings, TDS, Balance Sheet finalisation, MIS reporting, Advanced Excel, ratio analysis and other skills required at higher levels of Accounts and Finance.

So if you have already been working in Accounts for a few years, don’t immediately conclude:

“My company doesn’t pay me enough.”

First ask yourself a harder question:

“How much more valuable have my skills become in the last three years?”

Your next salary jump may not come merely from changing your company.

It may come from changing what you are capable of doing.

Don’t remain an Accounts Executive only because that was your first designation.

Build the skills required for your next designation.
